Il Palazzo Chianti DOCG 2017
$25.00 – $66.00
We searched far and wide for an affordable Chianti that tasted good. Finally! Here it is. Intensely flavoured up front palate of dark cherry and dried herbs followed by a long slowly drying finish. A good balanced wine with no weird moments. Good avid structure without being tight and long but silky tannins.
$25 or 3 for $66
Commercial plantings didn’t really start until the 1980’s and there are now 10 clones available.
Coriole in McLaren Vale were pioneers of this variety and have been growing Sangiovese since 1984. (Wine Australia)
