Good afternoon. It has been a busy week, so no dilly dallying this afternoon!

One of the Yarra’s hidden gems joins us at the tasting bench tonight – Payne’s Rise. Tim and Narelle planted the first vines of their 10 acre vineyard just over 15 years ago, on the north facing slopes behind the township of Seville. Tim is a vineyard consultant, so it comes as no surprise that his paddock is one of the most pristine in terms of quality fruit production going around.

Franco d’Anna, of Hoddles Creek Estate fame, has been making the wines for several years now and the quality is undeniable – wine show success in terms of trophies are usually a good indicator, and both the Shiraz and Cabernet have racked up a few of each over the last three or four vintages.

Great fruit, quality winemaking, and very attractive pricing is a recipe for wine success in 2015, and Payne’s Rise have the trifecta in spades.

Tonight from 5pm, join Simon Flood with 2013 Chardonnay, 2014 Pinot Noir, 2013 Shiraz and 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon. The reds are all $27 tonight (instead of $30) and the Chardonnay is a steal at $18.

See you soon!!

Enjoy a safe weekend!
Cheers,

Sean
