First Foot Forward ‘The Patch’ Pinot Noir 2015

Red and black cherry notes throughout with underlying spice and savouriness. Smooth soft and mid weight with lingering freshness, flavour and fine tannin. There was roast lamb and duck fat potatoes on the table when first tried this and Simone was lucky to get another glass. Enough weight to hold the meet flavour and enough structure to cut through all of the fat, allowing the rest of the dish’s and the wines flavours to come out. Definitely a case of 2 + 2 = 5. If you are not sure what that means, together the experience was stronger than the sum of the parts.
